Usage

Algorithm settings

Entry Signal - higher value (less signals, later signals, more certain entries), lower value (more signals, sooner signals, less certain entries). (default: 15)

Exit Signals Settings (Auto/Manual) - Choose whether you want the exit signals to be generated.

Exit Period (only in Manual Exit mode) - The number of last candles from which exit signals will be generated.

Exit Value (only in Manual Exit mode)
- Value above which signals will be qualified as exit signals. Lower – more signals, higher - less signals.

You can try different settings of this algorithm by clicking "Big Move Algo" at the left-top corner of the TradingView chart window.

When to buy, sell, exit?

There is no single, correct, determined way of using Big Move Algo and interpreting its signals, but most Big Move Algo Traders use them this way:

"Long" signal (green candle) - open a long position / close a short position if any open. (uptrend may begin)

"Short" signal (red candle) - open a short position / close a long position if any open. (downtrend may begin)

"Take Profit" signal (yellow candle) - close current trend position. (trend may stop or reverse)

For higher trade certainty, it is recommended to confirm signals using other trading methods (e.g. price action, candlestick patterns, chart patterns, fundamental analysis)
.

Why "Take Profit" signal didn't appear / appeared more than once?

Big Move Algo generates a "Take Profit" signal at the place where the trend can potentially end or reverse, so sometimes it can detect several such potential places during one trend, and sometimes it may not detect any during the entire trend (in such situation, a signal of the opposite direction to the current one can be considered as a trend stop).

No "Take Profit" signal does not mean that the trade was not won.

Alerts

Algorithm code has built in alerts that will notify you whenever any Buy, Sell or Exit position signal appears. You can enable those alerts by clicking the "clock" icon in the panel at right, then click "Create alert", then in a condition input choose "Big Move Algo".
